Easter Basket Ideas For A 13 Year Old Boy

Let’s build my 13 year old son’s Easter basket. I picked out two magazines he can read during spring break. I found a LEGO set he can build. I got him a new book to read and I actually read this book when I was about his age. I bought several different packs of Pokemon cards. He loves these Pokemon paper theater builds. I also added two pairs of new pajamas. I hope this gives you some inspiration.  All items are linked below.  Watch how I put the basket together here.

Easter Basket Ideas For A 10 Year Old Girl

Let’s build my 10 year old’s Easter basket. I like to fill my kid’s Easter baskets with useful gifts they will use and things they have wanted. She loves Sabrina Carpenter and magazines so I picked up these two magazines she can read during spring break. I found these new water slides for her to wear to the pool. She is obsessed with these graphic novels and this one just got released. Of course I had to add the new viral Stanley. Staying on the butter yellow theme I added this LA baseball cap she can wear by the pool, hair pins, lip balm and nail polish. I hope this gives you some inspiration. Head to the caption on how to shop all these items.  Watch how I put the basket together here and all items are linked below.

Valentine's Day Class Party Ideas

Every year I share fun Valentine's Day class party ideas, so here we go again. Valentine's Day is right around the corner and class parties will be coming up. I remember growing up I loved going to the store, picking out a box of character Valentines, writing my name along with a little note on the back, and handing them out to everyone in my class. I feel like Valentine's Day is now a big production in school. Children do not just hand out little Valentine's Day cards any more. It seems like everyone has a treat to go with their Valentines and the more thought out and cooler the treat the better. So here are some easy, very reasonable, and adorable Valentine's Day ideas for your childrens' class parties coming up.

Carter & Kennedy's Holiday Wish List

Christmas is over and I never had the opportunity to share what the kids were asking for this holiday season. I decided I would still share and link everything just in case you are still looking for gift ideas, have a birthday coming up, or you buy treats for Valentine's Day.

Our December

We spent the month of December decorating the house, watching every single Christmas movie, baking, cooking, dress up days at school, Christmas performance, visiting with family and enjoying time together. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Here are just some highlights from the month.

DIY Grinch Charm Necklace

A tradition we started in 2016 was visiting Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood every holiday season. We have not missed a year. It is by far one of our most favorite festivities we do every year. I mean, where else can you be transported into the whimsically, vibrant town of Who-Ville, meet the Grinch, Max the dog, Cindy Lou Who, and other Who-Ville characters?! There is colorful decor, the sensational Who-inspired doo-wop singing quartet , a towering 65-foot-tall Grinchmas tree and so much more! Don't miss Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood from Friday, November 29 through Monday, January 6.  Watch the tutorial here on how to make the Grinch charm necklace.  Shop all items to make the Grinch charm necklace here.

DIY Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Table Decor

One of my favorite things to do as a family on Thanksgiving is for all of us to stay in our pajamas, get cozy on the couch and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Blake and I have been to NYC once on Thanksgiving and actually got to watch the parade in person. I can't wait to take the kids one day. I thought it would be fun to bring one of the most magical Thanksgiving traditions straight to our own table.  Did you know that this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature 22 balloons, 7 balloonicles, 34 floats, 11 marching bands, 24 performers, 28 clown crews, and 11 performance groups?! We are so excited to see new balloons joining the parade, like Minnie Mouse, Gabby, Noorah and Elf On The Shelf, Spider Man and more. Watch the tutorial here.

Halloween Home Decor 2024

Our house looks so festive and fun, so I wanted to share some pictures of it all decorated for Halloween. I love this time of year. I really love decorating and making the house look and feel like Halloween for the kids. They just love it and I think it is so important as a mom to be festive and make things fun for your children.  Only 15 more days left until Halloween.  If you are still looking for costumes click HERE and use my link for 15% off your total purchase.  Halloween Costumes has something for everyone and there is still plenty of time to get your costumes delivered before Halloween.  The kids have decided to be Red and Maddox (Mad Hatter) from Disney Descendants The Rise Of Red.

Phineas and Ferb Disney Channel Halloween Costumes

If you have been following us for quite some time you know The Patricios love Halloween. The last 5 years we have shared a different Halloween costume idea for families and couples each day the entire month of October. That is 31 costumes each month for 5 years, which is 155 unique family costumes we have shared and we have never shared the same character, movie, etc. This year we decided not to share costumes each day the entire month, but when we saw that @funcostumes had Phineas and Ferb costumes this year we had to have them!!! This show is a family favorite and Kennedy and I were honored to attend a panel with the creators of the show at D23 in August. We also can't wait to go to Oogie Boogie Bash very soon and see the newest villain, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz from the show.  Check out our Phineas and Ferb video here.

Easter Gift Ideas

Here are some Easter gift ideas using these large clear 10 inch eggs. Just take the 19 colorful eggs out of the clear egg and you can use the colorful eggs for your hunt on Easter morning. Use the 10 inch clear egg to fill with goodies. I filled them with crinkled paper and for my nephew I added an outfit, bubbles, book, chalk, and PEZ. For my niece I added an outfit, swimsuit, book, and bunny bath toys. I love that the clear egg snaps together so nothing will fall out. The Easter eggs and all the items can be found at my favorite store.  Click HERE to shop all the items.  Click HERE to watch a tutorial on how to put these Easter baskets together.

St. Patrick's Day Books

St. Patrick's Day is less than a month away! We are so excited to wear green, impossibly catch a leprechaun, make festive treats, read books about St. Patrick's Day and more. Come join in the fun as I share a little bit about how we celebrate over the next few weeks. There is nothing more special than each night when the kids pick a St. Patrick's Day book and we read it together as a family before bed time. Our collection is always growing, but as the kids get older they love reading chapter books too.

Taylor Swift Classmate Valentine's For Boys & Girls

Kennedy wanted Taylor Swift themed Valentines to give to her classmates and I was not going to let her down. We started brainstorming on the perfect card and gift. We found Taylor Swift Valentine's Day cards that were perfect for boys and girls. For the girls we made iron on Taylor Version shirts, added Taylor stickers, heart shaped sunglasses and bejeweled rings. For the boys we gave red footballs since we are definitely in our football era at the moment! Sending you lots of Swiftie love!
